stormdogI had every intention to come home from work today and fire up my computer, boot Trillian (multi-service instant messenger program for those who don't know; interfaces with AIM, ICQ, Yahoo messenger, and another one I can't remember, all from the same user interface. I recommend it.) for nearly the first time since I've started going to school and chat with people as I clean up geekland.
Unfortunately, I got home and promptly fell asleep.
I do plan to do mostly that tomorrow though. I apologize to everyone I haven't kept in better contact with. I feel bad about having been so busy and I'm actually a little nervous about turning the IMs on again. I don't know why, but I've always felt slightly awkward using real-time messaging and it's been so long I'm probably out of practice. I always feel like I'm somehow being unintentionally rude. (Yes, I know, I'm paranoid.) On the other paw, it will be very nice to be talking to people again, and I trust my friends to tell me if I'm somehow violating IM netiquette.
So along these lines, if anyone wants me to add them to my contact list, please reply with your screen name/number and contact medium of choice and I'll add you in to my list. I'm hoping to spend perhaps half my time after work finishing my studying for the exams I have left to take and I'll probably have Trillian up while doing so.
