I feel jolly rotten today. The slight sore throat I had when I left for the trade-show last night swiftly ballooned into a batch of incredibly annoying symptoms; runny nose, coughing, sneezing, all the fun inherent in a nasty case of the cold. Or flu. Who knows?
I get a bit oversensitized to sensory input while I'm not feeling well; I think it has to do with so much of the part of my brain that deals with that already being occupied with throat and nose pain that, when I also have to start sorting out the smells and heat of cooking and the sound of the television, it's all a bit over-powering.
(On a side note, I note that, without thinking about it, I'm using hyphens in places I don't think I would have done so before after reading Eats, Shoots and Leaves. I wonder if I'm doing so correctly.)
Gah. I'm sick. This sucks. Prob'ly not going out to Ann Arbor tonight. I don't feel up to that long a car ride. I hope I'm feeling better by tomorrow. I'm planning to go back to work in any event; I'd just prefer not to be miserable while I'm there.
