Like the last few years, at the temporary place and the apartment before that, no trick or treaters came by. And before that, in the Netherlands for two years, that wasn't a thing. And before that, in the condo in Evanston, no trick or treaters came into the building and our door was internal.

I kind of miss them, and I can't remember the last time I gave out candy at Halloween. I feel a little sad about it actually. But I have a bunch of candy here at least.

Currently in my fridge-top "relax" bag are a bunch of rolls of Smarties (the US ones, not those weird Canadian ones. *grins*) that got somewhere-or-other that was having a Halloween candy sale. Does anybody else love those things as much as I do?

I'm a little sad that I won't get to participate in Halloween as a candy receiver *or* a provider; it's my first time in a long time living in an apartment where people on the street can't knock on my door. But soon, it will be half-price scary candy day and I can stock up on Cadbury Scream Eggs!! (Yes, for me, that deserves a double exclamation point.)
