I'm done! I'm done with that response paper! Or done enough. Done enough. I'm going to do some more reading. Maybe after I play one *little* game....

It's kind of freeing to have decided to actively try to be less thorough at this stuff. There's a little adrenaline flow as though I know I'm doing something naughty.

But I'd like to get through this with my sanity.

There was a birthday party for the Hendricks Chapel's 85th birthday today. Punch and cake on the plaza at the bottom of the steps! Hendricks Chapel is a non-denominational religious/spiritual space with what I'm told is a fantastic coffee shop in the basement (I wouldn't know).

I'm on such a pretty campus!

What's better than biking 7 miles to work in 4 degree Farenheit weather with 20 mile-per-hour winds? Doing it while sick! I've woken up with a sore throat and minor congestion for several days now.

I was worried that I wouldn't have a voice for my telephone call with my prospective advisor tonight, but it went pretty well. I just had a great, hour and a half long conversation with him. I do think the program could be a good fit for me, and I think he's someone I'd enjoy working with! I also have no voice left now, and haven't managed to get anything else done that I was going to do. Including emailing some folks back at Ohio State who've been talking to me. And putting away the laundry that's been sitting on my bed for the last two days. And doing the reading for my classes tomorrow. And maybe think about the three posters I need to design for April....
