I just found out about this game, to which I can only say SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!!

I'm filling out an application for the closed alpha when I get home.

Well, it certainly is beautiful, but I can't quite figure out what the point of it is -- looks like little creatures are setting up some kind of a manufacturing plant on previously pristine wildlands.

From what I can tell, it's basically a 3D version of Factorio, the factory-building game I've been intermittently obsessing about for a couple years now. I do have to kind of remind myself that I'm not *really* polluting an entire planet with my factory as I build machines that do things like burn off sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere as a waste product.

Are there environmental consequences in the game? Just curious.

I would love for there to be at least an option of environmental consequences! There was a person who was working on a mod that added all sorts of industrial byproducts that you'd have to deal with, but he didn't end up finishing it as far as I can tell.

The only effect that "pollution" has is it speeds up the rate at which the aliens become stronger and attack your factory. And I play on peaceful mode anyway because I don't care about fighting and stuff, I just want to build!
