Around St. Patrick's Day, I always think of my mother reminding me that though the Woods family (her side) is Irish, we are actually descended from Irish Protestants and thus should theoretically wear orange on the day.

Back at work after a very pleasant weekend spent with Erik, Danae, and by myself, in mostly that order.

Here, the orange would get you into deep trouble on that day!

Irish is the one ancestry of these islands I DON'T possess so I tend not to bother- I have six patron saints and claiming another one would be greedy!

I've wondered whether I'd get in trouble in Chicago wearing orange at big public events too, like when they dye the river green. But I wasn't there, and don't actually own any orange except for maybe a skirt, so no biggie. *grins*
