Sep. 3rd, 2003 02:49 amI'm home, and with books!
My raccoon and I went thrifting today and I ended up with several additions to my collection. Some highligts; the first 5 books of A Series of Unfortunate Events, the 2000 edition of What Color Is Your Parachute?, a Dostoyevsky book, The Posessed, for my brother, a Prydain book by Lloyd Alexander that isn't one of the main series and that I've never heard of, and a novelization of 101 Dalmations that I've been looking for for years. Niftyest of all, I have the Longmeadow Press printing of Adams' The More Than Complete Hitchiker's Guide, a beautiful leather bound book with gold page edging (I love that golden gilt edge on old books. *happy sigh*) that retailed for $117.00. It cost me all of two dollars at the thrift store.
Andrea and I put down the deposit for our apartment today too. Our apartment. I'm probably too tired right now to say much more about that concept than 'wow'. We're going to have our own space together...
More later. This doggy is going to wrap himself up in the warm fuzzy blanket, pet his new books for a while, and get to sleep...
