In other news, Andrea and I went driving all over the abandoned chunk of Detroit north of the Renaissance Center and continued to the industrial operations near Zug Island. I took a great many pictures and even got Andrea to allow me into an abandoned currently unoccupied building. It was a good weekend.
Lots of pictures in huge and totally unedited format here for now until I put them in a better place. You can skip the first few unless you really want to see an Akita drinking out of a toilet.
While out and around, I may have found a way to get into the Michigan Central Station. I was planning to check it out today after work but Andrea needed to go see the doctor about her shoulder and I went with so she wouldn't have to drive with her bad arm. I still have my boots, flashlight, camera, tripod, and change of clothes in the truck though; I'm hoping the drizzly, foggy, and most importantly low-visibility weather holds out until tomorrow afternoon...
