Continuing, slowly, to move stuff out of the house.

I have a Fender Stratocaster guitar. I bought it brand new five or six years ago and have played it only a few times. In fact it still has the original strings on it (which I suspect need replacement at this point just from age). Accompanying it is a Crate GFX-15 Amp with built in digital effects, including distortion.

As I said, I almost never played it. I just didn't like the way it sounds; I vastly prefer my classical acoustic (which I can't really play anyway at this point; it hurts my left wrist too much, but I'm keeping that one). The lot was a little over $400 when I bought them, if memory serves. It was actually the second large purchase (over $30 or so) I ever made after getting my first job as overnight staff at a homeless shelter.

For a friend who was interested, I'd be willing to take $150 for both items. Otherwise, I'm going to post them to Craig's list for $250 and see what I can get. Anyone interested?

Almost caught up on my ledger, which is what I'm devoting tonight to. I think I'll have enough time to work on getting Apache, PHP, and MySQL to play happily together on my test box, Betawolf.

------------

Edit:

Thinking about it further, the guitar must be closer to ten years old than five. Gah. I just don't think of myself as that old yet. It really doesn't seem like that much time has gone by. Well, maybe in some ways it does; it's just a weird feeling....

So I install PHP 5.1.2 on my test server, Betawolf, and get the same error I was getting on Alphawolf. Ok, I uninstall Apache 2.0.3 completely, download the latest 2.0.x version, .59, and install that. I load PHP on top of that, restart Apache, and it actually works! But I don't see any evidence of PHP running anywhere. Figuring it's a background process, I hit ctrl-alt-del to view the processes. Much to my surprise, the entire bottom half of the task manager window is missing.

I try to right click my computer to go to the management console, and nothing happens. I double click my computer and nothing happens. I double click Firefox, Ultra VNC, and the recycle bin; nothing happens. I decide to open up the control panel to remove PHP and I start by double clicking my computer. Oops, forgot something, did we?

I go to start, settings, control panel to get to the add/remove programs dialog, uninstall PHP, and reboot. Desktop icons are still not working. I use the start menu to try to start up Shareaza; "Unable to run this command." says the Windows Explorer error message. Wow, I've rarely ever seen the Windows shell get that fubared. Good thing I didn't mess with this on my production server.

Time to reimage....
