Aug. 3rd, 2009 02:42 pmI was going to post a pictures of the observation porch on the breathtaking Hiawatha line passenger car that trailed the train that the steam locomotive I saw yesterday was pulling. But I forgot to bring those pictures on my laptop. Oops.
Instead, here's one from my last trip to House on the Rock. That's No-LJ-James posing with one of the vast array of statues and figurines in the house.
I love the lighting on this one. It's just a touch overexposed, which looks fine on the wall sconce; I really like the effect there on those central circles on the light source! But the angel's face is blown out to white. If I could retake this one, I'd stop down about 2/3s or a full stop, then try and pull detail out of the shadows a bit in post-processing.
