Aug. 5th, 2009 08:55 pmSo tired today. We were going to go to Coney Island, and two of us (including me were definitely up for it), but after further discussion, we decided to go to bed early, get up early (about 6) and see Chinatown. We'll move on from there.
I got to Queens today to see the World's Fair remnants and I am completely at a loss for words to describe the strange beauty of the structures there. I may even go and see the Unisphere again, especially if the sky decides to cooperate and give me a nice blue field. Why is it always overcast when I do these things?
I've been online very little, and will remain mostly out of touch. I'm only writing now 'cause, as I said, we're in for the night. I'm really happy that we're packing every bit of seeing things in that we can, because I don't want to leave the city thinking that I didn't see everything that I could have possibly seen.
*woofs* Have a picture of the interior of the Empire State Building lobby. The whole decoration scheme is glorious Art Deco. I love Art Deco with a fiery burning love.
Posi, sorry I didn't call you today. I was in and out of the subway, and just constantly on the go. Which is good, but I kind of missed the time going by. Talk to you tomorrow, hopefully! I've got to tell you about the fair site! You'd love it!
