I just took an hour long, 11 mile bike ride down the North Shore Path and didn't have knee problems. I think it's a combination of stretching before riding (Thanks for all the advice!) and keeping myself from pushing backward on the pedal on the upstroke, which I was developing a habit of. Maybe I need to think about clipless pedals.

On the way home, I stopped at a local thrift store that's in what used to be a hardware store and found a Jill Sobule album and a K.D. Lang album. Yay!

(no subject)

I listened to NPR today and got a lot of cleaning and organizing done. I'm extending my perception of 'my' space to include the hall outside my bedroom and the stairs up to it. I made room on the landing to lay out all my shoes in a row, and things are neat and tidy in general. It's partly preparation for Danae coming over tonight, but as much for me to be ready for school starting. I will have a space that's soothing to be anxious over writing papers in! *smiles*
