Sep. 4th, 2013 08:43 pmWoof. Apparently tonight was a night for food spicy enough to trigger a fight or flight response. After eating a burrito garnished with a few dollops of Blair's Ultra Death, I had a momentary twinge of actual panic when I realized that the bottle of water I keep in my fridge was empty. Standing at the kitchen sink refilling it, I was kind of willing the water to come out of the faucet faster.
The first day of classes was good. I only had two of them; one I'm actually a student in, and one I'm doing the SI gig for. It sounds like I can leverage the work I'm already doing with farmers markets into the paper for environmental anthropology. I need to talk more to the professor about how that will go.
Monday through Thursday are going to be long days for me. I think it will help if exert a little more control over scheduling by planning for fairly specific things in the evening. Like, I'll work with Rosetta Stone for half an hour, I'll do reading for half an hour to an hour, I'll shower, etc. Some days though, I'll have time between classes for reading, and that will help. And of course, class reading and work deadlines may override other general plans as appropriate.
