stormdogI still haven't rebuilt my laptop and therefore have not been able to check or send email. Sorry 'bout that. Maybe I'll look at it with Posi tomorrow. He thinks he may be able to recover some data before I wipe and reimage, but I'm not hopeful. Windows is seeing it as a 0 byte volume right now and PC File Inspector can't find a blessed thing on it.
Soon after getting home from work I finally hauled our washer and dryer up to the curb from their resting place of about six months next to the house. They were gone before the sun was down. We'll have to call the city tomorrow morning and cancel the pickup so we can get a refund on the stickers for them. I found a second use for my grappling hook and rope as a drag line. Hooked it into the lid of the wash machine and hauled it down the driveway; it was great!
Cleaned the bathroom and scrubbed the floor. I hate doing that. At least it's done. Posi's going to drop by after work tomorrow and we're going to get the yard, garage, and front porch, or at least portions thereof, cleaned up.
I just listened, along with my lovely mate, to a really interesting program on NPR talking about the containerization of domestic and international cargo and the effect that it's had on socio-economics. It was really interesting and left me with a vague intent to read the guest's book and try and get a better handle on how modern freight lines work and how they would change if economy become smaller and more local due to energy shortage.
I guess that's enough rambling from me. I'm off to bed. 'Till later.
