stormdogIt's very cold this morning. I'm not ready for that yet. I have more to do in the garage and outside. I have to get the porch cleaned off. I'm not happy about this.

posicat and tybis are going to help clean the yard with me this Saturday. We're going to rent large power tools and attack the weeds, brush, and small trees that have sprung up in back of the house during my three years (is it really three already? That's so weird) of little or no maintenance. I really have no idea how to do this sort of thing, so if anyone would like to offer advice or come by to help, it would appreciated. With any luck, farm_cat is going to have time to assist too.
Tonight isshaleari's D20 modern game, Sunday night Andrea's going out to karaoke (I may or may not go with; haven't quite decided if I'm up to it), and Mondy we're going to be at faire. Sounds like we're meeting up with Posi and Tybis again, as well as daveqat and jimcyl. Dinner at Little Europe, or a buffet, afterward has been discussed. Saturday, I'm hoping to use time set aside to lie down with Andrea and read to her from her birthday present, The Orphan's Tales: In the Night Garden, which, I can say after having read the first chapter, truly appears to be one of those rare books infused with transcendant magic that wisps from the pages in vapors. It was difficult to put it back down on my desk at work last Friday and not keep turning pages, but I wanted Andrea to be the first one to experience it. That only seems fair, it being her gift.
Some days, I kind of miss having unstructured weekends. I'm pretty happy with where I am in my life, but I'd like a little less structure sometimes.
