Apr. 4th, 2008 10:16 amI left a voice mail for my insurance company claims rep last night to ask about price discrepencies between them and the other companies. He called while I was on the phone with somebody but left a message saying that I was found 90% at fault for the accident I was in with the truck. I'm going to go do new quotes from the other websites with the extra at-fault accident and see what I get. It probably explains the higher rates which would mean that I'm not buying the Aveo. I'll just pick up a POS beater (and I actually kind of mean that in a good way) like I've been driving so I don't have to pay the insurance.
Damn. I didn't even get a ticket for the accident. I looked at the situation and I honestly can't see anything I would have done differently. The other car was going fast enough that it couldn't stop in in the snow and ice in time to let me clear the intersection. But I guess that's the way it is. At least if I have something older and not as shiny, I won't feel as bad about tearing up the dashboard and mounting my radios and antennae and stuff....
