While driving today, an idea I had considered a while ago entered my head. I'm thinking about looking into apprenticing with the electricians union in the Detroit area once I'm out there. It's something I'd thought about doing here, but I had the job with Kenzer that I was mostly happy with. I enjoy working with my hands (paws? heh) and the little bit of wiring experience I've had was mostly enjoyable. I also love poking through all the hidden parts of structures, the back halls, the crawlspaces... The places that don't exist for people, but rather just for themselves. I'm tired and probably not being very elequent. Anyway, a union job would probably have decent benefits and such as well. *shrug* Something to think on.
Also looks like I might end up running lights one more time over at the Rhode. My dad, who's been the light board op for the summer kid's show, may be going to work Gen-Con with the Kenzer crew two weeks hence and he says I'm really about the only person he trusts to take over. Heh. The joys of being competent. The show's at 2 o' clock Saturday and Sunday, so I may be able to get down to Chicago and see people I haven't seen for far too long anyway. Maybe Friday or Saturday night after the show I could head down there... Whatcha' up to three weekends from now Benjie?
Long day today. I think I'll do some reading.
