Garage Kruft
Jun. 6th, 2009 02:07 pmAs I noted yesterday, today has been spent working on bringing all of this kruft I've built up to market. I've got it all collected in the garage and have been working away since about ten this morning.
It's actually been really nice. I've listened to Blitzen Trapper and Neutral Milk Hotel as I work, interrupted by This American Life. Now, Revolver is playing (specifically, Eleanor Rigby) as I upload a few pictures of my progress to Flickr.

The boxes in the back are full of old iPaqs. They're being sold as a lot I think. In the foreground is a very nice Fujitsu tablet with a cracked screen. If it meets the needs for
akreaveter's school, I may try and fix it and give it to him. Otherwise, I think it's getting ebayed. I thought about removing the screen and using it as a car computer, but its far overpowered (dual core P4M with 4GB of RAM I think) and I could use the money.

This is the stuff I've already photographed and written copy for. Mostly simple stuff like a lot of PS2 mice, a couple of ergo keyboards, and some thin clients I have no power supply for. I'll post a list of all this stuff when I get to it and will be more than happy to entertain offers. Avoding dealing with shipping rocks!

Darik's Boot and Nuke running on a few of the dozen or so laptops I have. I put a sticky note on each one when the drive scrubbing finishes both to make sure that I get all of them, and to note which ones seem to be functional enough to finish the whole hour plus process without dying on me!
