Jul. 29th, 2009 07:34 pmI haven't made it to the gym in probably a month. I got there today and took
moiracoon's MP3 player with me. It's much more fun exercising with music, and the time goes so much faster! I usually work for half an hour, and this time I did over forty-five minutes of elliptical and I hardly noticed the passage of the minutes. It's kind of odd working out to MC Hawking, Hole, and Crooked X, but hey. It was good. Of course, I got to the point where I decided I'd do one more song, and the device fed me the about-ten-minute-long Green Grass and High Tides.
It feels good to have done some exercise though. And now I need to get caught up on finances. I may also set up the new dehumidifier I got from a Freecycler, and possibly take the bathroom sink drain apart and clear out whatever's stuck in the trap. Showering should probably be first though. Exciting night?
How about a police station sign done in neon tubing! I, for one thought this was pretty awesome. This is in Laurium, Calumet's neighbor town in Michigan's upper peninsula; the two actually kind of blend together. (Oddly enough, Calumet was originally called Red Jacket, and Laurium was originally called Calumet!) There was another one in Calumet, though in poorer condition and missing it's tubing. This one in Laurium actually works!

The sky was so overcast and gray during my entire trip. There are so many pictures from up here that I wish had a better sky than the big empty white that it is in most of them. Ah well.
