I've been a productive, if ill, dog.
I mailed some stuff to the museum that's hosting the show my photo is in (Art in Architecture: The Collaborative Spirit of the Interwar Period in Detroit), as well as a couple other things. In between some fitful sleeping I worked on learning more about Japanese adjectives. And today, I spent five hours and more rearranging my living space.
I'd been planning to move my bed over the space where my computer is for months. Now that I'm not working, I had the time. I also set up a bookshelf that I bought a few days ago from a friend who was clearning out some store fixtures for his employer. It's pretty funny to me that the bookshelf is from the same building I was working in, albeit from a different company.
I also caught up on mail. I found the checks I ordered, my W-2 form, and my invitation to the Opening Reception for the show. Of course, the reception is this Saturday, so I don't think I'll be able to make it as I already have other plans. I'm a little sad about that, but I'm going to get out there anyway to see the show at some point in the run.
Now that I'm feeling better, I'm going to do my taxes and fill out my FAFSA form for financial aid for school. I also have a contact at the anthropology/sociology department at Parkside who I'm going to write a letter to to introduce myself, explain where my interests are, and ask for advice on an academic path. And my brain is feeling up to trying to figure out the Japanese in a response to a recent LJ post (looks at
mikazo) and in a Valentine's Day note I got. *grins*
The four people who sent me notes through Valentinr made me smile. Thank you all for thinking of me! And thanks to
red_ceilidh for the e-card; that was adorable.

Look! I can actually get to my windows! And in time for those beautiful Spring breezes coming off the lake that I love so much!
