stormdogI think I want to go to the Lake Theatre in Oak Park, Illinois. Maybe I can get Danae or Lisa to come with. It sounds like the architecture there is really exemplary of changing aesthetics in the '30s and is a near-direct response to criticism of the architecture and ideology of the movie palaces of the '20s.
I guess they show movies or something there too. *shrugs*

Oh, darn; it's been triplexed. I probably wouldn't be able to see a lot of what I want to see. I wonder if there are any intact theatres from the 30s around here.
