I'm not quite sure where to begin. It's been too long since I've sat and written here. Again. *sigh* I thought I'd have more time this week since I'm off school. One would think I would learn...

I spent 45 minutes driving around 13 mile road trying to find my bank. I've been to this bank more than a few times. One might think I would be able to find it without too much difficulty. But, since I tried to take a slightly different route than I normally do to save time I got completely lost in some subdivision, had no idea which way to turn when I finally did get to 13 mile, and then, I think, managed to drive past the bank once or twice (not sure which) before finding it after giving up and deciding to drive home. I've found that when I'm on a street that I know but I'm driving the opposite way that I normally do and especially if I've joined it in the middle of the stretch I normally drive, I will have no idea where on it I am. I was driving past lots of buildings that looked vaguely familiar 'cause I've been past them before, but I still had no idea what direction I was going or needed to go. Andrea says this scares her a little bit. I guess I'm just used to it. It seems to be relatively common in people with Asperger's Syndrome. In fact, it's well known enough to have it's own descriptor; topographical agnosia. Yes, I truly am directionally challenged.

I did managed to get an address stamp ordered (e-bay package marking purposes) and ink bought for my thrift store printer on the way home, so that was good. Of course, I still can't get the printer to work. I probably shouldn't be surprised. Now I have two dead printers to throw out. I'll probably just break down and buy a new one along with a UPS for my main system, which is probably going to have to be a big one. Even if I only put the primary monitor on battery backup, I still have a single fan that's drawing three quarters of an amp, not to mention a 120mm one on the front plus the neon lighting. (I should get my secondary power supply working and put that stuff on it and plug that into the non-battery backup ports; it'd save me some run time. But I digress) But I'll splurge 'cause we manage to keep tripping the geekland breaker (it's on the circuit with the microwave in the kitchen; stupid) and I'm worried about my hardware. Plus I just got my tax refund checks. I wish all the new printers at Office Hax didn't look like things from the Enterprise D though. I just want a simple printer, not something that looks like it will beam my documents down from the mother ship. In fact, I'd be totally happy with an old dot matrix printer. The ink would be so much cheaper...

Andrea and I were both so very tired tonight. We fell into bed together at some point around 7 I think, not intending to really sleep. Next thing I knew it was a little after 10 O' clock. As my sweetie lay sleeping beside me, I, feeling lonely and a little homesick, called my mom and chatted for a while. I still haven't played Final Fantasy XI with her. I keep telling myself that once I get all caught up on the apartment I'll have time to sit and talk to people online and play computer games. I always feel like I'm so close to being on top of everything but I never really quite catch up. *sigh* I should probably stop stressing about it.

I really don't want to go to work tomorrow. My sleep schedule is going to be screwed up as it is, and I could really use a day to work on stuff at home. And sleep. As I lay next to my beloved I was honestly considering taking a sick day (that's a 'sick of work') day, or an emergency (if I go to this place another day in a row I'm going to explode and endanger those in the blast radius which almost asuredly would result it some kind of emergency) day. I'm still thinking about it. It'd give me time to rearrange the bags of clothing in our storage room downstairs. Bags of clothing that, despite neither Andrea or I having moved them, somehow ended up piled in the middle of the room. I'm really, really hoping that they somehow ended up in that confguration by having fallen out of the haphazard piles they were instead of by someone having been in there moving them. My padlock was still in place on the door and all locked up...

I'm going to write about the weekend now, and my trip to the lovely city of Tawas, Michigan with my raccoon girl. Maybe I'll even get it posted tonight. Love to all my friends...
