Another Bike Post!

stormdogOn Sunday, I decided to take a quick ride down to the state line and back. 11.75 miles in 45 minutes or so. Before arriving at the bike path, I was stopped at an intersection on a quiet four-lane road, signalling to turn left and waiting for oncoming traffic. A pickup truck drove around me to pass and the driver flipped me the bird. I waved, calling "Have a great day!"
I'd decided that I wasn't going to buy another bike. Then I found a really good deal on Craigslist on a bike with very near all the features I wanted, and at a price about half what I thought I'd have to spend. I'm going to look at it tomorrow, and if it fits me I'm going to buy it. Hub-generator for lights, 8 speed internal rear hub, weather-sealed roller brakes, rack and fenders, lights.
My pair of these arrived today: http://www.cat-ears.com/ I'll have to post a picture of me wearing them for you all. They look like big blue sideburns. They fit a little oddly because of the way my helmet straps are situated, but I'm looking forward to seeing how well they work on my next commute.
