I have a pretty face!

The archivist gave an off-site presentation to a local historical group, largely elderly folks, on an individual whose life is well-represented in the archival records here, and who offers an interesting look at the life of late 19th century immigrants to southeast Wisconsin.

Anyway, several of the attendees have been at the archives in the past doing genealogical work. Not only did they have copious praise for our facility, but one of the women said something like "the man there with the long hair has a pretty face."

I've been smiling about that off and on since yesterday.
