Literature Review!
Nov. 11th, 2014 10:47 pmOnce upon a time, back about two and a half months ago, I told myself that, this semester, I was finally going to do all the reading for all my classes. Fairy tales can be so nice, can't they?
At least I'm making progress on my personal statement. 'Course, tomorrow I have to write a lit review before I can work on it more.
Now that I'm on topics I can really get my teeth into, I think I'll come to enjoy the process of doing a lit review. What's frustrating, though, is doing one that I know is half-assed when I could do a much better and more thorough one with more time. I'm kind of looking forward to doing my first real literature review some day. I'd like to see myself actually really getting to know a particular area of inquiry instead of flitting along the surface.
Anyway, deadlines for my third paper for my report writing class are coming up. I'm going to do some qualitative inquiry about how people relate to public space here in Kenosha. I'll probably only do one or two interviews, but it ought to be fun.
