I have two external drives; 500GB and 2TB. My photos get backed up on both. This is because the two kinds of hard drives are ones that are failing, and ones that have failed.
Because the 500GB is getting too full to fit all my photos, I just ordered a 3TB replacement. Some things you don't fuck around with.
