Name a CD you own that no-one else on your friends list does:
Does it have to be a CD? I have several LPs that I bet no one I know does. My complete authentic reproduction of a minstrel show comes to mind as does the LP with Colonel 'KFC' Sanders testifying about his personal salvation. As far as CDs go though, perhaps the first two Doctor Demento CDs that were only distributed to fan club members count, though now that I think about it someone else may well have them.

Name a book you own that no-one else on your friends list does:
Forty Feet Below: the Story of Chicago's Freight Tunnels. A very cool book by Bruce Moffat about the history of the Chicago Tunnel Company and their tunnels. Now out of print and mildly difficult to find I understand, though it seems to always be available used through Amazon.

Name a movie you own on DVD/VHS/whatever that no-one else on your friends list does:
How about 'A Zed and Two Noughts'? I have to admit that I haven't actually watched this one yet and that, technically, it belongs to Andrea, but I'd never heard of it before and it sounds fascinating. "...the darkly comic story of twin zoologists who become obsessed with the search for life's meaning. When their wives are killed in a freak car accident, the brothers both start an affair with the car's driver, Alba, who lost a leg in the accident. Throughout this affair, the two become fixated on the process of decay and begin an intense study on decomposition using animals from the zoo that leads to the ultimate experiement." Directed by Peter Greenway. It seems artsy, weird, and obscure. My kind of movie. Once I get around to watching it, I'll let y'all know what I think.

Name a place that you have visited that no-one else on your friends list has:
There's a lake in Glacier National Park in Montana that is set in a natural bowl high among the mountains. Thw whole park is unqualifiedly breath-taking, but the lake is incredible. I'ts a half mile or so hike up a steep trail next to a river-filled ravine to get up there. I can't remember the name of the lake, but I will never forget it's beauty. There was just something magical about the place; the way three streams, hardly more than trickles, flowed down the sides of the bowl to add their substance to the lake, the way the peace of the ancient mountains seemed to fill the valley, the way the place just reached out to me... Someday I will take Andrea to Glacier. It's been a special place to me every since my family road-tripped out there for the first and only time when I was perhaps 13 or 14...

So my mate and I may have a few things to worry about, but no one ever really has a perfectly calm life. Right now, I've had a week or so of peaceful days spent cleaning the apartment and peaceful nights spent at home with my love. Depending on what you mean by peaceful anyway. They were certainly all good nights... Perhaps I'll write about yesterday for those on that filter.

I didn't even realize how stressed I've been over the past months until now, when it's finally been lifted off my shoulders; a weight I didn't know I was carrying. Life is good right now.

We're (my raccoon and I) going out to see my parents and family this weekend. Yay!
