I guess we didn't have enough stuff to deal with because Canada Revenue Service is disputing our moving expenses Miriam claimed on her taxes. Any actual paper receipts we had are gone in the fire, and her address was incorrect with the government because of our temporary housing, so we're like 2/3 through the period we have to respond and only just learned the details of what we're supposed to respond to.

Most Dutch tax forms are available in English. For whatever reason, form M, which partial-year residents must use, is only available in Dutch. I received the copy I requested and began working on it in the hope that I could figure it out via Google translate, but there are too many ambiguities in the text for me to feel comfortable with the machine translation. We're going to hire someone to do it.
Fortunately, Miriam's mother has done our US returns for us, as she always does. I am deeply appreciative.
